Dog Obedience courses are for dogs of all breeds, 16 weeks and over. They will give you a better understanding of your dog. The course goes for weeks at a set time each week. We cover all the most requested commands, such as:
Coming when called
Place training (teach your dog to find an off switch, settle quicker, address anxiety)
Mastering loose lead walking so walks are more relaxing
Teaching relax and impulse control without a mat
Creating a reliable stay
Creating a reliable down
Working towards performing all these behaviours in and around distractions
Using markers in training
How to keep yourself and your dog enthusiastic about training
Common mistakes made in training.
We also discuss common behavioural issues and give you advice on how to start addressing them at home.
Please note WE HAVE RUNG THE COVID HOTLINE and until restrictions lift, one person may attend OBEDIENCE classes in a public park,until further notice.If you need to bring a child or a carer please consult with us before attending classes. DO NOT arrive with 2 people without prior consent or one of you will be asked to leave.
Every few months we also offer different breed specificdog obedience courses for owners to get together with other owners of the same breed, to learn, chat, and have fun. These courses are extremely popular and fill quickly.
August Oodle and Collie classes
Due to their popularity we are continuing our OODLE only and RETRIEVER only courses.
There is a maximum of 6 dogs per class and multiple trainers at sessions.
